RUGRATS RUGBY
FAQ's
Where can we find you?
Rugrats Rugby Cleveland currently operates weekly children’s classes out of two centres in Middlesbrough and Guisborough. Classes are held indoors throughout the year (with potential for the odd outdoor class in the warmer months). For more information on our centres, simply head to our 'find a class' page.
When are your classes?
Our kids classes are held on a Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Full class times can be found here.
What ages must the children be?
We allow children to join from the term in which they turn 2yo, and move on from Rugrats in the term in which they turn 8yo. We offer a free taster session for new starters and have links in with all the local rugby clubs (Acklam, Guisborough, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar & Yarm) for when they complete their Rugrats journey.
Where do your members come from?
We are based in the heart of Teesside and attract youngsters from across the region including many members from Middlesbrough, Guisborough, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar, Saltburn, Stokesley and more.
Can we join at any time?
Yes - our sports programme has been structured so that it's progressive and means children can join at any stage in the term but won't feel left behind.
What can we expect at one of your classes?
Each week, we commence with the same activity to help familiarise the children with the club and feel settled. Thereafter, it’s on to a varied warm up game before progressing into the skills work (passing, catching, kicking, try scoring and tackling). Finally, we head into a series of fun games (involving tags and tag belts for our older children) to help further develop confidence and promote rugby skills. ALL of our games and activities are non-contact, and we always put safety at the heart of our programme.
Do you offer a free taster session?
Yes. Simply head to our 'find a class' page then follow on-screen instructions.
How much does it cost?
Our 30 minute rugby classes for 2-4yo & 3.5-5yo are £24.99pm, our 40 minute 4-7yo rugby classes are £26.99pm. Payments are taken in advance on the 1st of the month via the card you register with at time of joining. Should you join mid-month, the classes you attend will simply be added (on a pro-rata basis) to the following months payment to get everything on track. As we never have classes in August, you will only be charged a £1 retainer payment that month.
Is there any minimum contract?
The minimum term is 1 month, but if the past is anything to go by, we're very confident you’ll stay with us much longer!
How easy is it to cancel?
If you do decide to leave, simply drop us an email or get in touch via this form and we will cancel everything at our end so you aren't charged a penny more than needed. If you have not attended any classes for 3 consecutive months, we reserve the right to cancel both your payments and membership, and release the space to a child on our waiting lists.
What do the little ones wear?
T-shirt and short/joggers with trainers are ideal. We do sell Rugrats Rugby kits (shirts & shorts) should you want one, and these can be found via our club shop.
What do we need to bring anything with us?
A drink of water/juice is all your child needs - everything else is provided.
